We all know that SEO optimization is not an easy task and we do not have any particular guideline for SEO optimization. But people like us who have been associated with this industry for many years know that SEO generates a cumulative effect to get ranked. As we are associated with this field we maintain regular basis reports for our SEO optimization work and from this reports we can calculate that which types optimization policy give us our required juice and which don’t. We collect those fruitful policies and maintain them while searching for new policies.“There are few people in this world who makes the simple work is very lengthy and complicated” – Albert Einstein Yes, these golden words are very true for few SEO peoples who are applying same promotional strategies for different business themed websites. They do not have much time to understand the requirement of the business market and thus they don’t able to separate the SEO strategies to promote different kinds of website. Say for example, the work strategies to promote a real estate website should not be as the same strategy to promote a web design themed website. Thus it is viewed that sometimes it is very cumbersome to get ranked for several sites. Although in case of on-page optimization the following SEO services are recommended because this will be the base for any SEO optimization and this will enable you to receive effortless ranking in the various search engines. Some of those elegant as well as valuable tips for on-page optimization are as follows:1. SEO optimization starts from domain name suggestion (if possible). Go for a keyword research regarding the business market of that site and recommend the client to choose that targeted keyword at the domain name of that site.2. As we all know maximum web servers are based in America thus it is viewed that dot com sites easily get ranked into search engines. Thus it is always advisable to register the domain name with dot com extension.3. All types of promotional works are reflected from the title tag of your web page. Always be conscious about placing targeted keywords at your title tag wisely.4. After title tag we all know descriptions are displayed into search engines thus your description should be smarter and there you should maintain keyword density too.5. Do not forget to place search engine bots correctly with adaptation announcement within header part in all pages of your website for quality ranking.6. A “robot dot txt” page is required into the server containing those links which you don’t want to get indexed at search engines (like: links of login page, admin panel etc).7. If canonical issue exists at your website and if you do not wish to divide your work into two parts unnecessarily, then redirect you non www domain into www.8. Always shun from image links, flash links or java script links while cross linking among important pages within your site. Always go for text links while inter linking all pages within your site and smartly shuffle your targeted keywords into those texts.9. Maintain keyword density into the content part of your website in an ethical manner. But remember one thing; never ever try to cross the density limit.10. It is better to link all important pages from your main body content of your web page. Here also find out keywords from content and then link them at you important pages.11. Properly optimize all images of any page with meaningful description of that image within alt tag where you can rotate you key phrases smartly.12. Broken links are very harmful for website thus it of great importance to remove them at once.13. Do not plan for any black hat technique and if they exist then remove them instantly. Because ethical white hat SEO optimization always produce top rankings.14. Always recheck all URLs; they should not be very long in length, because search engines do not like unnecessarily big URLs.15. If you have good numbers of pages and you wish to index them then mention them in XML or ROR sitemap as a feed. Place that link of that feed into index page that search engine crawlers can easily index all of your pages.

2009 saw a lot of exciting changes and additions to the world of online marketing and search engine optimization. Some important events that took place were the launch of BING, announcement of Google Caffeine, the merger of Yahoo and Microsoft search. 2010 will see real time web emerging which will become more popular than the traditional methods of optimization.

Following is the list of pointers to get your website on top, reach out to potential customers and ensure brand visibility in 2010.

1. Decrease Webpage Load Time. Google’s Matt Cutts recently hinted that the load time of a website may affect its ranking in the search engines. That is, the faster a website loads, the better its chances to rank well for its niche keywords. Website load time is touted as the next big step towards improved rankings. The pre-requisites to a good webpage load time are; reputable web host and fast internet connection.

2. Get Listed in Google Local Search. Getting listed in Google Local Search ensures brand visibility in front of visitors from the nearby places. It has been proven that the number of visitors to a website increase exponentially when listed in local search results. The reason being, a customer will always prefer to purchase a quality product which is easily available in his or her vicinity rather than order it from another unfamiliar city or state.

3. Get Involved in Social Media. Social Media is the flavor of the season and in 2010 organizations are going to actively engage in conversation and social networking and reach out to their potential customers. Social Media Marketing is a must for every organization as it helps create brand awareness and build relationships with consumers in the highly competitive market. Micro targeting and Personalization will be the keywords in 2010.

4. Optimize Your Website Mobile Users. With and ever increasing number of people tweeting and using Facebook from their mobile devices, a lot of organizations are now finally paying attention to how their websites appear on mobile phones. You can have your website appear on the mobile under the same URL or have a special domain for the same. The most common way is to have the domain name as mobile.websitename.com.

5. Apply Web Analytics to its full potential. There are hundreds of web analytics tools in the market which provide a mountain of data pertaining to the visitor’s usage. Some of the most well known web analytics tools are Omniture, Google Analytics and Yahoo! Web Analytics etc. Web Analytics tools can answer the “how” but not the “why”. That is, you can find out how many visitors checked the product catalogue webpage, but not the answer to, why the visitors didn’t place an order for the product. Organizations need to dissect the data from web analytics tools and successfully apply its learning’s to enhance their visitors experience and in turn increase sales revenues.

In 2010 companies must go beyond organic search engine optimization by integrating social media marketing and optimizing their websites for mobile users.

SEO for keywords and content is relatively easy. Choose your keyword. Write content around that keyword. Use an SEO optimizer program to make sure you have done it right.

Long gone are the days of writing unrelated content, and then typing “Britney Spears” 100 times at the end of the article. Today’s search engine spiders can spot the “Black Hat” SEO techniques a mile away, and your site can be banned for life.

Here are a few tips for SEO optimization:

Be focussed in your meta keywords – 1 to 3 SEO optimized keywords is enough

Put your keyword at the beginning of you page title tag.

Make sure you title tag is the first tag in the head section

Make sure your keyword appears in the alt tag for images and in link text, but no more than 3 times

Put your keyword in bold

Put your keyword in the H1 section of your page, and H2 if you can

Have a keyword weigh in your article between 3-6% (higher is “keyword spamming”)

SEO for domain names

Going back to the Nike.com example from my “SEO for Google” article. Since the keyword weight is 0%, how does nike.com get to billing when you search for them? Easy, Google gives a rank weight to domain names.

Make sure your primary domain name reflects the main purpose of your site (domain SEO). This site, for example, is all about my desire to “retire with millions”. The site is subdivided in to many SEO optimized sub-domains each with a URL that denotes the sections. For example, all my SEO articles are in a sub-directory called ../seo.

Many articles have been written about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Google. Google is the largest search engine (for now) and getting your SEO right for the Googlebot can make your site top ten site getting millions of hits a day. On the other hand, poor SEO and your site may never be ranked and your campaigns for Adsence will never net you any real money. Even worse, bad SEO might mean that your cutting edge product is un-finable by your customers.

Google page rank is determined by a number of factors:

SEO keywords

SEO content

SEO domain name

Originality of content

Number of links from external sites

SEO keywords and SEO content will be dealt with in another article, lets focus on the other 2 for now.

Original Content

Having original content on your site is a no-brainer. It is the “why” that escapes many SEO web content developers. We have all seen the ads promising “150000 Adsense and SEO optimized pages”. If it were this easy, all of us would be multi-millionaires by now. The reality is, Googlebot applies a penalty for non-original content, no mater how SEO you might think the page is. Think about it – why does “Nike.com” come up number 1 when you type Nike into Google? You or I could probably write a better SEO page about Nike than Nike.com. In fact, Nike.com keyword density for “Nike” is 0%!!!

Links from External Sites

Google take into account the number of links you have from external sites. Each link is like a “vote” for your site. Before you go and sign up for a link exchange program, consider this, some links do not count, in fact, being a “link spammer” can kill your ranking, no matter how good your SEO.

There are ways to generate quality back links:

Create a blog on blogspot.com (a Google Site) and write about your web page – include properly formatted links

Join blogs on respected sites and comment on articles, putting your URL in your signature

Write “press releases” when you update your site and post them on the free press release sites around the web

Take out classified ads in respected on-line newspapers

Make small donations to charity sites that keep a “Thank You” page and include your web site with your name

These are just some tips to compliment your SEO work to get a good Google ranking.

Like so many I lost my job this year. The company I worked for closed in the face of this rough economy. They have been in business for over 25 years. I’ve been with them from the beginning. The owners are of retirement age and decided to stop fighting a loosing battle and take it easy. They deserve it. But where did that leave me? I’ve got 15 years to go before retirement. The owners ran a small shop and couldn’t offer me pension or IRA. So what next? Maybe it was time for me to work for myself. But how to get started? And in what business? After 25 years I grew tired of the business I was in. Besides there is too much competition and not enough profit on each item unless you deal in high volume. It was time to look for an opportunity to be my own boss. I searched through the internet googling everything on the subject, but searching through the thousands of small business offers can be very daunting and exhaustive. The claims, promises and testimonials become confusing. I wasted time and money trying to find that business that’s just right for me. Everyone has different circumstances and goals that make finding that perfect opportunity much harder. As a sideline I help a friend make video podcasts, not to make money but to show off the many artist and crafters out there. I’m committed to this and maybe someday it will make me some income. Because of this podcast I need to travel to another state a couple times a year so my schedule eliminated some good opportunities that I found in my searches. So I decided to list these offers for anyone else who would be interested in working for themselves. I only list opportunities that meet my criteria such as:

• Low start up fee.

• Little or no competition in my local area.

• A legitimate business that you can check out by investigating others like this in your area.

• Or if it’s a work at home business you should be able to cultivate your own customer base and work independently of the company offering the start-up information.

• A business that takes some effort on my part and doesn’t claim to make you rich overnight.

• Something that seems recession proof or at least resistant to the ups and downs of today’s economy.

• A business that I would like to work at for years to come.

I’ve come across several offers that I’ve listed on my web site “Be Your Own Boss” that are legitimate business opportunities for those who want to start out on their own and achieve financial freedom. For one reason or another they didn’t appeal to me or wouldn’t work with my schedule. Maybe these opportunities will work for you. I didn’t realize that some jobs existed, like cleaning out foreclosed homes. I briefly went into partnership with a friend flipping houses a few years ago. I cleaned out many houses that we renovated. And some were foreclosures. Who knew? I know that some of you will make a go of it after reading the info provided in these manuals. It depends on where you live, the competition and how many hours you have to devote to your newly started business. Most of the “Out in the Real World” opportunities listed on my site will require a full time commitment. They are perfect for those of you who are seeking to open your own business and never work for someone else again. I’ve listed these offers all in one place so you can easily scan the them and decide for yourself if an opportunity is the right one for you. The manuals are not very expensive and give you a wealth of knowledge from people just like you who have started their own businesses or have worked in a particular field for years. You can benefit from their knowledge. The manuals and e-books I list are written by people who are very knowledgeable in their field and many authors have started successful businesses or worked in their profession for many years. They have the experience to steer you clear of the pitfalls that all new owners face. I did, and found one that worked for me. So if you look hard enough and weigh all the pros and cons you will be able to open your own business and be a success!

Google AdWords developers recently began activation of a tool that eliminated many of the barriers to breaking the code for performance improvement. A new tool just leaving the beta testers is promising huge income….and potential controversy.
The idea is especially practical and useful when you have landing pages. Splash pages make it even easier to take advantage of this improvement.
PPC advertisers are always looking for ways to build more traffic and sales from the money they invest into Google AdWords.
Click costs are on the rise and this makes it important to tighten up your control of your ads. By keeping an eye on your conversion of as much traffic as possible you will definitely improve your return on investment (ROI) ratios.
A recently introduced detective type of tool is slowly starting to crawl its way through the population of PPC advertisers. Its introduction is especially important to Google AdWords users, if it works. Here’s what has been learned about what we’ll refer to as the detective:
?This new tool is part of a system that appears to be applied most successfully when use with Google AdWords system.
?The detective is touted as making it easy to pick so-called low handing fruit. What this means is the heavy hitting major players in the PPC game, especially those who work their programs through Google AdWords, grab a big share of the millions of dollars a week that are earned through their AdWords campaigns.
However, they tend to leave literally thousands of dollars on the table because it’s not profitable to fine tune their campaigns to rake away every possible dollar.
?This detective tool not only picks off low hanging fruit, it also scouts the major player’s campaigns through a proprietary program and tracks a number of predictors of their campaign’s success.
?The system identifies hot markets, identifies the competition by name and urls and reveals the methods they are using to capture thousands of buyers daily. The tool also automates a very effective attack on any competitor targeted using a massive selection of keyword sets.
While this system seems to be designed to make it easier for newbie PPC entrepreneurs to compete in the profitable Google AdWords marketplace, it’s too soon to have all the details. Only time will tell if this clever tool will stand the test of time.
To summarize, an expanded beta-type group is currently testing this new system that has been tweaked to be successful with Google AdWords campaigns. Even though the system is based on highly technical algorithms its use is very simple and the ramp-up takes just minutes.
We always like to read about such systems but remain skeptical. As an active marketer it is easier to spend a few bucks and test a system than to keep struggling with poor results.
It’s also smart to test any system that is built on technology and designed to provide deep reaching research on your competitors. All major businesses invest heavily in market research and devote a sizable part of their money toward observing their competitors.
If you expect to be a major player, or otherwise build a successful online business, you’ll be well served to do your homework when it comes to new technology.
Should you choose to do some testing of your own we’ve provided a few suggestions. The following testing tips will help you start the ball rolling:
1.If you’ve never conducted any type of testing before, don’t create a really complicated experiment. Limit your first test to two to three elements of your campaign (e.g. keywords, try several text ad variations).
2.Make sure you allow enough time for statistic results to respond. If your test page gets 5K hit per day you’ll notice results much sooner than someone whose site only gets a few hundred hits per day.
3.Don’t stop with landing page testing. Test different variations in graphics, colors and subject lines. Small changes can make huge and measurable difference in your results. Evaluate, evaluate, evaluate….and test again.
Don’t be in too big a hurry to get your results and start applying the initial changes you like. It can take you several weeks to learn how to test properly but you’ll more than make up for lost time in the revenue department.

Hiring SEO services can help bring more customers and therefore more sales into your online business. It is very important to optimize your website to make it as accessible and visible in the online world as possible. So by now you should have a great website with a nice design and good content. However, what good is a website if your potential customers have no way of finding it? This is where SEO services become significant: allowing people to find their way into your website.
You have to understand that the kind of SEO services you get can either be a boon or a bane in your business. SEO is one of the most important components in online marketing strategy so it has become increasingly necessary. There is a large number of SEO services all over the Internet today. Unfortunately, some SEO services provided by some companies are rather shady, so make sure you do not deal with unreliable companies.
Here are some practical tips to help you look for good SEO services:
1. Use your instinct in choosing an SEO company. If you are uncomfortable with the deal, walk away. Never force yourself to make a deal with an SEO company if you do not like their terms. Or, if there are some conditions which are uncomfortable, never hesitate to ask. Their answers should address your anxiety, and will not increase it. If you still feel uncomfortable despite all the explanations, you are better off finding another company.
2. The price you pay is usually proportional to the quality of SEO services you get. Companies who have been in the SEO services industry for a long time and have established their reputation usually charge more. You may find the additional charge worth every dollar as they can offer you the best SEO services to fit your every need. On the other and, if you go for companies that give out unbelievably low prices, you run the risk of receiving poor service without substantial results. However, this should not mean that you should stop looking for cost effective SEO services. There is also a possibility that you may encounter providers which offer their services for rock bottom fees because they already earn much. There is also a number of reliable SEO services provider which offers cheap service as business strategy to attract more customers. Basically, this tip means that the price you pay for SEO services should not solely be your basis for choosing an SEO company to hire. Your main consideration should focus on the reliability and the credibility of the SEO company you have in mind.
3. Set a practical budget for SEO efforts and make the most out of it. Come up with a realistic budget that suits your business’s current situation as well as your marketing needs and goals. Your goals must be just as realistic as your budget. Do not expect that allotting only a meager portion will take you right up into the first ten search engine listings. If you intend to land on the top 10, or even just in the top 20, be ready to spend a lot as SEO services providers usually do charge a fortune to get you that top 10 slot.
4. Widen your options. With all the choices you have for choosing an SEO company, look out for several options and scout around for great SEO services providers. Do not content yourself with companies who claim that they offer the cheapest SEO services as you will probably end up with a low quality result or even have your site banned if the SEO firm engages in “Black hat” techniques. Instead, aim for those companies who provide the most efficient and effective strategy to give you the best service that they can provide. What you should aim for is one who will give you the best value for the budget that you have set aside.
SEO services these days are more expensive than ever. The main reason for this high price is the same reason why you need to get one, anyway. SEO is known for its effectiveness in drawing customers into online sites. The more visitors translate to more chances of conversion and therefore, more sales. The price you pay for SEO services theoretically is worth every penny and will pay itself. So, make sure you choose the right SEO services to provide you only the best results.

To Bing or not to Bing, that really is the question. On May 28, 2009, software giant Microsoft unveiled it’s new baby, a Search Engine named “Bing”. Worldwide deployment is expected on June 3rd, 2009. Will this prove to bring the advantage Microsoft has been aiming for in its competition against search engine giant Google in the Internet search business?

Is Bing Better? Bing’s premier claim is that it is a new and improved kind of search. It promises to take the user beyond traditional search engines to a fresh bold innovative pinnacle. How? Through superior methods of search, deeper search and masterful content organization that will ultimately result in better decision-making.

What’s Under the Covers? With an initial emphasis on four online search categories: Travel, Shopping, Health and Local, you can drill down on your search in ways that will enable you to make faster and better-informed decisions. Other search sections include Images, Videos and News. In Images, for example, you can arrange views by size, layout, color and style. In Videos, you can sort by length, popularity ranking and date. In News, you can search by topic, scan articles through RSS feeds or sign up for news alerts through Windows Live. In Maps you can find, get, explore and share mapping information. You can even be an online paparazzi with the help of Bing’s xRank that keeps tabs on notable people including musicians and celebrities.

Give the People What They Want As with any product launch catering to information access and targeted results, people over a period of time will be the ultimate judges. Technology and information are only as good as they are useful. As marketing and psychology have proven to us time and again, human beings are complex creatures. Our needs, wants, expectations, preferences and process of assimilation are quite unique.

For example, will the “Instant Answers” feature truly give us the answers we need or will it offer answers instantly but not the ones that are relevant to our search? Will the “better organized” information really be better for us individually – will it be organized in the way we personally think, and in a way that we prefer to have our information laid out? How we want to receive inputs and how we then interact with that data are key to the successful adaptation of any technology-based tools.

A Major Selling Point One of Bing’s major selling points is its ability to lasso the power of intuition. The new search engine is expected to go beyond current benefits by emphasizing user experience through a more intuitive model. By sorting and arranging popular search requests and results, it will take the need for precise keywords, terms and guesswork out of the equation, resulting in an optimum outcome.

Time Will Tell Thus far, the reviews have been mixed with pros and cons on both sides. It is not unusual to see strong frontrunner opinions sometimes even before the chutes are fully open. It’s no different in the case of Microsoft’s new search engine. We can research, market and try to sell as much as we like, but until the end-user actually buys, they are not yet sold. The only way to understand the differences and form a meaningful opinion is to do what I have done, try it out. Is it faster, deeper and more relevant, helping you to make better-informed decisions? You decide.

Contextual advertising is one of the most effective and feasible options for Google AdWords advertisers. In this form of advertising, the search engine places advertisers’ ads across its network of websites. By doing so, it helps bring in more traffic to your web pages. However, as an advertiser, you will have to opt for this service at the time of devising your campaign.

When it comes to paid marketing on Google, the search engine offers you a comprehensive content network to cater to. It encompasses some of the world’s most-visited websites and thus presents you with a great opportunity of leaving your mark on the online marketplace.

AdWords users can exercise good control and flexibility over their campaigns. With multiple-targeting options and various keyword selector tools, it helps you reach out to a huge audience base.

It is interesting to learn about how Google goes about contextually targeting your ads across its network. Firstly, it analyses millions of websites to determine the basic theme of a page. Then, it scans your keywords to produce the adverts that are most relevant to the theme of the selected web pages.

AdWords allows you to exclude your ads from appearing on certain web pages or categories. This feature, known as site exclusion tool, helps web businesses in targeting their campaigns in a better manner. Other than this, the search engine also offers placement targeting, wherein you can pick certain websites you want your ads to appear on.

The compensation structure can be decided on the basis of the main objective of your Google AdWords campaign. Cost per Click (CPC) and Cost per Mille (CPM) are two of the most common pricing formats used by Google advertisers. When it comes to ad format targeting, you can choose from amongst text, image and video advertisements.

Use Google’s content network to your advantage and reach out to diversified, targeted users around the globe. Relevancy is the key to success here.

Many webmasters consider search engine optimization or SEO to be a lynchpin of the success of their website and product, but it is overkill to spend too much effort on search engine rankings and not enough time on the aspects of the business that are fully within your control such as the content. This article examines why many web developers and marketers swear by the principles of SEO, and why some of the six-figure earning products did not even have a title tag.

Why Is SEO Popular With Marketers?

Getting traffic from a search engine will usually mean that the person who has found your website is looking for exactly what it is that you are offering, which offers an excellent opportunity because this person may be already pre-sold to the product or service that you are offering. If you can use keywords and links to get the top spot for a popular keyword term, you are then in a position to offer a product to that visitor related to the problem they need to solve or the product they need to buy.

Why Do Some Popular Products Have No Title Tag?

Many marketers are just that: Marketers. They are not web designers and they do not know HTML, so all that matters to them is how the page looks and whether it gets a sale. Whether you have a website that is a marketplace or auction platform, or whether you have a sales page with a solitary product that offers a solution to a problem or a needed service, many marketers could care less about how they rank in Google for a certain word. Much of the traffic to a website like this might be paid advertising, or it may be only local traffic directed to your website by referral or email marketing. Either way, you can still make money and have a profitable website because what matters here is where the source of traffic is coming from, so it might not make sense to you to spend money on keyword ranking.

A Difference In Ideology, But Both Can Get Good Results!

If you ever attend an internet marketing conference and discuss these issues with others who are in your same profession, you might notice that two general classes of marketers emerge depending on whether they have a more analytical mind or a more creative mind. The person with the analytical mind would have been gifted at math and science, and enjoying the science of search engine optimization for the results it can bring. They also probably know web languages like HTML and may even build their own websites.

The person with the more creative mindset may not even know how to build a website. They are likely a copywriter as a profession, and they are more focused on the marketing aspect of the website and providing a product with real value that exceeds the amount of money needed as payment. Many times a product like this may get promoted by an email marketing campaign or even by physical offline promotion, so if you anticipate that the visitors to your website will be local then you really do not need to worry about the search rank, since all your visitors arrive by referral.
